The LCA has published new guidelines that aim to reduce variation, improve experience and improve outcomes for patients with cancer of the brain and other central nervous system (CNS) cancers across south and west London.

The guidelines aim to reduce variation by ensuring brain and CNS cancer patients have equitable access to specialised treatment and highly technical interventions, including stereotactic radiotherapy. The guidelines also include the clinical management of pituitary tumours and tumours of the base of the skull.

The press release is available here and a copy of the LCA brain and central nervous system clinical guidelines is available here.
